The Echoes
Chamber Ensemble | 2 Violins, Clarinet & Piano
The Echoes is a dynamic chamber ensemble founded in 2025, bringing together violinists Patrick Cibula and Richard Cibula, clarinetist Josef Eugen Nagy, and pianist László Rácz. Based in Vienna, the ensemble is dedicated to exploring classical repertoire through specially arranged works for its unique instrumentation of two violins, clarinet, and piano, creating a distinctive sound world that combines the brilliance of strings, the warmth of the clarinet, and the expressive possibilities of the piano. The ensemble brings together four accomplished young musicians with international backgrounds and extensive experience as soloists, chamber musicians, and orchestral performers. Their individual artistic journeys have been shaped through studies at leading European institutions, collaborations with renowned musicians, and performances at prestigious venues across Europe and beyond. The Echoes made their successful debut in Vienna in 2025, receiving First Prize and the Audience Prize at an international chamber music competition. Since its formation, the ensemble has focused on creating engaging programmes that highlight the versatility of its unusual formation, combining refined interpretations of classical repertoire with fresh artistic perspectives. Through their performances, Patrick Cibula, Richard Cibula, Josef Eugen Nagy, and László Rácz seek to bridge tradition and innovation, offering audiences chamber music experiences marked by musical precision, expressive depth, and a strong connection between performers and listeners.
