Mira Akiki
Coloratura Soprano | Vocal Coach | Music Educator
Mira Akiki is a Lebanese coloratura soprano with more than 10 years of professional experience, known for her mastery of vocal and acting techniques with high agility and delicacy.
She discovered her passion for music at the age of five, inspired by hearing her father play the piano, and later joined the NDU choir at the age of 11, where her piano teacher first recognized her vocal potential.
Six years later, she entered the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, where she graduated in Opera Singing in 2015 with honors under the class of Fr. Toufic Maatouk.
Throughout her training and career, she has worked with renowned international singers and vocal coaches including Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz, Cinzia Forte, Luciana D’Intino, Caterina Di Tonno, Simone Alaimo, Joyce El-Khoury, Shady Torbey, Xenia Preisenberger, and David Lefort, among others, and has collaborated with directors such as Marco Spada, Alessio Pizzech, Roberto Catalano, Mirana Naim, and Joseph Sassine.
She has performed numerous operatic roles, including Frasquita in Carmen (2025 & 2012), Marcellina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro (2013), Berta in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia (2014 & 2017), Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte (2015), Adina in Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore (2016), and Barbarina in Le Nozze di Figaro (2018).
Her artistic career has taken her to major festivals and venues including the Baalbeck International Festival, Abu Dhabi Festival, Beirut Chants Festival, Al Bustan Festival, the Lebanese National Museum, Beit Tabaris, Expo Milan, the Opera House of Muscat, Al Hussein Cultural Center in Jordan, and various events in Saudi Arabia.
She is also an active ensemble performer and has been a soloist and member of the Antonine University Choir since 2016.
Alongside her performing career, she is deeply committed to vocal pedagogy, drawing on her extensive knowledge of vocal anatomy and more than 10 years of teaching experience to train singers and choirs of all ages and levels.
In 2019, she launched an online classroom offering customized vocal training courses for singers worldwide.
On the academic level, she is currently completing her 8th year as a university instructor at both Antonine University and Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, teaching classical singing across all levels.
