Farid Rahme
Recorder Player | Music Educator | Artistic Director
Farid Rahme was born in Bcharreh, North Lebanon, in 1980.
He studied recorder at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, earning his first diploma in 2008 with high distinction and completing his Bachelor’s degree in 2012 with excellence.
Particularly interested in modern and contemporary music, he has collaborated with Lebanese composers such as Fr. Fadi Taouk, Wajdi Abou Diab, and Elia Koussa, contributing to the expansion of the contemporary Lebanese repertoire for the recorder.
Since 2013, he has continued to refine his artistic approach through advanced studies and masterclasses with internationally renowned recorder players, including Michala Petri and the Swedish virtuoso Dan Laurin.
As a soloist, he has performed in numerous concerts and festivals throughout Lebanon.
He currently serves as Recorder Coordinator at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music and is the Director of the Gibran Music Institute in Bcharreh, where he also teaches recorder. In addition, he is a recorder instructor at the NDU School of Music.
Alongside his musical career, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Literature from the Lebanese University.
