Antonio Yazbeck-Karam is a Lebanese conductor, pianist, and cultural entrepreneur with 17 years of experience in orchestral leadership, solo piano performance, music education, and arts administration. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Musicology from Antonine University, a Piano Baccalaureate from the Antonine School of Music, and a Diploma in Orchestral Conducting from the Franz Schubert Konservatorium in Vienna, where he spent six years refining his conducting craft. His artistic development has been further shaped through masterclasses with distinguished conductors including Simeon Pironkoff and Ennio Nicotra.
As a conductor, he works across a broad symphonic and operatic repertoire, with a particular focus on large-scale masterworks including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and No. 9, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, Brahms’ Symphony No. 1, and Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro. His experience includes conducting and assistant roles in venues such as the Wiener Konzerthaus, Palais Schönborn-Batthyány, and the Heidi Horten Collection for UNICEF.
As a pianist, his repertoire includes demanding works such as Beethoven’s Sonata No. 14 (“Moonlight”), Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in C-sharp minor, and Liszt’s Le Rossignol, reflecting strong technical control and interpretative depth.
Alongside his artistic career, he is the founder and manager of Aria Cultura, a concert production and artist management agency, as well as MusicMap.online, a professional online directory connecting musicians, ensembles, educators, festivals, and music institutions. He is also active as a cultural entrepreneur developing new platforms for the music industry in Lebanon and beyond.
Based in Lebanon, he is actively engaged in international collaborations and open to opportunities within the European and global classical music scene.
