Sevag Kouyoumjian is a professional bassist, music instructor, and performer with more than 20 years of experience in the Lebanese and regional music scene.
He studied jazz at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, where he developed a strong foundation in performance, improvisation, and contemporary musical styles.
As a versatile musician, he performs with bands across a wide range of genres, including jazz, funk, Latin, jazz fusion, pop, and commercial covers, as well as oriental classical music, oriental pop, and folk music. His work also includes contemporary music and improvisation, allowing him to adapt to diverse musical settings and live performance environments.
He has performed extensively in concerts, festivals, weddings, and private events, collaborating with numerous artists and ensembles such as Adham Nabulsi, Joseph Attieh, Carla Chamoun, the Lebanese Orchestra, the Syrian Orchestra, and many others.
Alongside his performance career, he is an experienced bass instructor, offering lessons for students of all levels from beginners to advanced musicians, with a focus on technique, groove, improvisation, and musical expression.
His artistic profile reflects a balance between live performance, education, and versatility across both Western and Middle Eastern musical traditions.
