Layal Bou Issa

Cellist | Music Educator

Layal Bou Issa is a Lebanese cellist, cello teacher, and visual artist based in northern Lebanon.

She is currently pursuing studies in Music Education Sciences at the Antonine University, following earlier training in cello performance at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik.

Her artistic focus is rooted in European classical music, with a particular specialization in the Baroque repertoire and the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Alongside this, she has developed experience in adapting the cello to Oriental and Lebanese musical traditions, combining technical precision with cultural versatility.

As an educator, she emphasizes instrumental technique, musical expression, and artistic development, aiming to build strong foundations for her students’ musical growth.

Her experience includes cello teaching, orchestral participation, festival appearances, artistic collaborations, cultural events, and solo performances, often with piano accompaniment.

In parallel with her musical career, she is also a classical realist painter specializing in drawing and visual arts. She creates original works inspired by academic art and classical realism, which she presents and sells as part of her artistic practice.
