Serge Nehme

Serge Nehme is a Lebanese oud player and musicologist born in 2004. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in music.
He studied under the mentorship of renowned Lebanese oud virtuoso and composer Charbel Rouhana, whose artistic and academic guidance played an important role in shaping his musical identity and approach to performance.
From an early age, he developed a deep interest in Arabic music and the oud, combining performance practice with academic research in musicology. His work is centered on preserving the richness of Middle Eastern musical heritage while also exploring contemporary interpretations of Arabic music performance.
As a performer, he has appeared in concerts and cultural events in Lebanon and abroad, including performances in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar. In Lebanon, he has participated in several festivals and concerts such as the Noss Jounieh Festival and the Dhour El Chweir Festival, contributing to the country’s active cultural scene.
Alongside his performance activities, he continues to develop his artistic and academic profile through advanced studies, collaborations, and musical projects that aim to bridge traditional Arabic repertoire with modern musical perspectives.
